Filosofia - Zuzana Licko

This assignment involved research on a typeface and the design of 6 page “postcards”. I was inspired by the cover of the typeface on Adobe Fonts, as well as Emigre’s notes on Filosofia. The content revolves heavily on the letters exchanged between Rudy VanderLans and Massimo Vignelli regarding the design of an advertising poster of Filosofia. Massimo Vignelli, after receiving the request by Rudy VanderLans, writes back opening with, “THE WAR IS OVER!”, which is symbolic of the resolution of their past disagreements.
